Recurring, deep, move-in/move-out and post-construction house cleaning for Auburndale homes — the Victorians around the square, the river streets, and the Brae Burn Road area. Insured and owner-operated.

Auburndale sits on Newton’s western edge, wrapped by the Charles and bisected by the Mass Pike, with a small walkable square at Commonwealth Avenue and Auburn Street. It is also the city’s biggest transit node — Riverside, the western terminus of the Green Line D, is here on Grove Street, alongside Woodland station and the Auburndale commuter rail stop. Between the river, Auburndale Cove and the old Norumbega Park land, a good deal of the outdoors comes indoors here.

The Lasell Neighborhood district covers high-quality housing in Colonial Revival, Second Empire and Queen Anne, including the 1870 Winslow-Haskell Mansion on Vista Avenue, one of the city’s finest Ruskinian Gothic houses. The Brae-Burn district on Brae Burn and Windermere Roads is twenty-six houses, more than a dozen built between 1911 and 1916 and the rest by 1940, in Craftsman and Colonial Revival.
In practical terms that means plaster, radiators, original millwork and a lot of period detail in the older streets, and simpler Craftsman and Colonial Revival interiors on the Brae Burn side. Auburndale is one of the four villages with a local historic district — established in 2005 and covering roughly two hundred and seventy-five properties — so exterior work is reviewed here, though interior cleaning is unaffected. The Riverside redevelopment will add several hundred apartments at the village’s southern edge.

Cleaner N More, Inc. is locally owned and owner-operated, founded in 2021 and backed by more than ten years of hands-on cleaning experience. We schedule Newton in blocks, so Auburndale homes get the same familiar team rather than whoever happens to be free that day.
Both, and everything between. Auburndale is compact enough that we can schedule the whole village in a block, which is how we keep the same familiar team on your street.
Yes. River-adjacent houses take in more mud, leaf litter and pollen than the rest of the city, and lower levels can run damp — we plan around that rather than treating it as a standard clean.
It depends on the home’s size, its condition and how often you clean. Use the estimate form on this page or call 508-561-9458 for a same-day quote — no in-home visit required.
