Deep clean price scales with the size and condition of the home. Here’s roughly where a one-time deep clean lands across our towns for a reasonably kept home:
Square footage matters as much as bedroom count — a big 3,500-square-foot house with two people takes far longer than a compact 1,400-square-foot home with the same number of bedrooms. Condition matters most of all, which is the next section.
A standard clean keeps an already-decent home decent: counters, sinks, floors, bathrooms, and the surfaces of daily life. A deep clean resets a home from the ground up and reaches the built-up, behind, and forgotten spots a normal visit isn’t scoped or timed to touch — baseboards and trim by hand, tile grout, hard-water buildup on glass and fixtures, the range hood, ceiling fans, vents, door frames, and the floor edges a vacuum skips.
That’s why a standard clean for a 2-3 bedroom home takes our team about 3–4.5 combined hours, and a deep clean takes 6–8.5. You’re paying for close to twice the labor. Condition. This is the big one. “We’ve mostly kept up with it” can mean anything from genuinely tidy to a soap-scummed shower and an oven last cleaned two administrations ago. We’re never judging — we just have to price the home that’s actually there.
Size and bathrooms. Bathrooms and kitchens are where the labor lives, so a 1-bath ranch and a 3-bath colonial are not the same deep clean even at the same bedroom count.
Add-ons. A deep clean still doesn’t automatically include the inside of the oven, inside the fridge, interior windows, or inside cabinets. Those are steady add-ons in Massachusetts: about $30 for the oven, $30 for the fridge, $45 for cabinet interiors, and $50 for interior windows.
Pets. A normal pet household is a small add-on; a heavy-shedding home where hair is worked into upholstery can be its own line item.

Most people need one when they’re starting recurring service, prepping for the holidays or guests, moving into a place someone else lived in, or when it’s simply been too long. Starting recurring cleaning on top of months of buildup just means paying standard-clean prices while the team fights a deep-clean job — a deep clean first, then regular upkeep, is almost always the cheaper path over a year.

And always get the oven, fridge, windows, and cabinets named in writing — included or extra — so a “cheap” quote isn’t just leaving them out.
